We parked at Morton Community Park and started off on the Zimmerman Trail from there. The weather was supposed to have been a warm day with possible rain, but instead of rain we got chilly temperatures. The hike was a nice trail through wooded area, however the wind was cold and harsh, making it difficult to look around and enjoy the scenery. We made it to the other end of the Zimmerman Trail, popping out near a pond with views of Lake Erie, as well. We turned around and hiked back, with the wind to our backs this time, with the hike totaling a little under 4 miles by the time we finished. Afterwards, we warmed up with delicious homemade soup and had hang out time with our favorite space cats.
