Distance: Supposed to be 4 miles, but we got creative with the trail and it was about 6 miles by the time we finished
Approximate hiking time: 2.5 hours
Trail surface: Natural surface, forest
Land status: Public
This trail was full of a lot of beautiful switchbacks that provided beautiful overlooks of the forest and a creek. Many mountain bikers passed us along our hike (hooray for trail courtesy and giving a heads up before passing!). This was probably one of our favorite hikes in the 40 hikes book so far. On the way home we extended our “hike” with a stop at Tremont Scoop for delicious vegan mint chocolate chip ice cream and a visit to the APL to hang out with all the dogs and cats!
